It also includes repairs due to vandalism and accident repairs of revenue vehicles. An effective vehicle maintenance program incorporates scheduled actions to maintain each vehicle type and model on a specific cycle, a practice commonly referred to as preventive maintenance, where the intervals (miles/hours) between procedures should be defined. ADA maintenance elements must be included in the maintenance plan, and the grantee must show that accessibility features are checked regularly for proper operation and receive periodic maintenance.
