Term Description

Universal Design

The concept of designing services, equipment and infrastructure to be easy of use for as much of the population as possible, rather than catering for those who can use a standard service and adding specialized provisions for those who cannot cope. Universal design puts people's abilities and requirements first and uses technology to satisfy those requirements.
