A passenger boarding/alighting facility with a platform which may include stairs; elevators; escalators; faregates or turnstiles; canopies; wind shelters; building with a waiting room, ticket office, restrooms, or concessions; rail stations; ferryboat terminals; transfer centers; and park-and-ride facilities. It does not include bus, light rail or cable car stops that are located along street curbs or in a median (even if there is a shelter, signs, or lighting).
