Term Description

Passenger Trip

One person traveling one way from origin to destination. When recording the number of passenger trips, the passengers are counted each time they board vehicles no matter how many vehicles they use to travel from their origin to their destination. Trips should be counted regardless of whether an individual fare is collected for each leg of travel. It includes passenger trips on volunteer vehicles.
