An organized and usually continuous effort to help decrease the possibility of unforeseen losses and the impact of those that do occur. Loss control can be applied to all kinds of losses such as those caused by bus crashes (reportable and those not required to be reported), passenger and employee injuries (slips and falls, curb-side accidents, wheelchair and mobility device accidents, vandalism or assaults), facility losses (fire, flood, electrical, burglary, natural disasters or vandalism), or most things that cause unexpected harm, injuries, or damage.
