Established and funded under the Older American's Act in 1973 to respond to the needs of Americans age 60 and older. Often referred to as a Triple A, the Area Agency on Aging coordinates and offers services that help older adults remain in their homes, aided by services that fall into five broad categories: information and access, community-based services, in-home services, housing, and elder rights.
