Alternative Fuels

Vehicle engine fuels other than standard gasoline or diesel. Typically, alternative fuels burn cleaner than gasoline or diesel and produce reduced harmful pollutants and exhaust emissions. Common alternative fuels include propane, compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), ethanol, methanol, pure biodiesel, hydrogen, and electricity. Most of these fuels can be domestically produced and derived from renewable resources.
