Abstract
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that teens have the highest crash rate among driver age groups. North Dakota is no exception; drivers age 14 to 17 are three times more likely to crash than drivers age 25 to 34. Additionally, teen drivers in North Dakota, which
make up only 3.8% of the population, were drivers in 10% of fatal crashes from 2004 to 2006.
