Project Details
AbstractSeveral states have been moving toward a coordinated approach to transit as a result of the federal government's prompting. Coordination is believed to increase the transit services offered and increase the service area covered. The state of Iowa was on the forefront of coordination efforts in the 1970's and initiated a regional approach to coordinate all transit services throughout the state. Iowa still maintains a regional approach to transit. It is proposed that North Dakota adopt a similar regionalized transit effort.
