Abstract

The Grand Forks-East Grand Forks Metropolitan Planning Organization working with the City of Grand Forks and the Near Southside Neighborhood Association requested the Advanced Traffic Analysis Center to explore possible traffic calming and safety countermeasures in the Near Southside Historic Neighborhood where area residents have expressed great concern for speeding and cut-through traffic. Several tasks were performed intended to find specific problem areas and their causes within the neighborhood. A list of recommendations was then developed to counter the issues.
