Abstract

ATAC was contracted by North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) to complete a technical memorandum documenting the Spot Speed Studies conducted along US 85 at ND 68, McKenzie County, ND. The speed studies were conducted at two locations with northbound and southbound directions of travel observed. The collected data was then interpreted and compared to the posted speed limits at each speed study location. After analysis, the 85th percentile speed method resulted in a speed within range of the posted speed limit.
