Title:	Langdon Walkability Assessment

Abstract

The Cavalier County Health District (CCHD) requested that Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) conduct a walkability assessment in Langdon, ND. The purpose was to identify problems relating to walking about in the community of Langdon. The area of assessment included Langdon Area High School in the north to Langdon Elementary school in the south. The study included a checklist that was filled out after the assessment had been conducted. The study found several issues around the area and recommended that the agencies with control/jurisdiction in the area to look into opportunities to improve the facilities. A further engineering study to identify improvement alternatives and corresponding cost estimates was also recommended.
