North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND, in the United States, and the University of Modern Sciences in Dubai, UAE, are engaged in a broad bi-lateral collaborative effort to enhance their research and professional workforce training programs. The universities are jointly developing and implementing research and workforce development efforts to explore and serve the needs of clientele both in the United Arab Emirates and in United States. At NDSU, work under the partnership is currently coordinated by the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute.
Activities under this international effort include:
Development of collaborative research in intelligent transportation solutions
Joint professional workforce training programs in transportation and urban systems
Exchange and professional development opportunities for students, staff, and faculty
Joint seminars and workshops
Cultural exchange
Sharing of new technologies and new methods of management
