Sherif Gaweesh
Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dr. Sherif Gaweesh is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at the University of Wyoming (UW). He is also the Deputy Director of the Center for Simulation and Human Factors for Connected and Automated Vehicles at UW. Dr. Gaweesh has over 14 years of practical and research experiences in the field of transportation engineering with a focus on traffic safety. His research interests include traffic safety analysis, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Connected and Automated Vehicles, and statistical and big data analytics. Dr. Gaweesh got awarded his PhD in 2018 in Transportation Engineering with a minor in statistics. He participated in accomplishing several national, regional, and state funded projects.
