09.07.2023 | 704-P__ TRAFFIC CONTROL FOR MEDIAN EARTH WORK: Provide traffic control according to the following layouts on the Standard Drawings: D-704-24 Type HH: For use on left shoulders where no earth work is being performed the following day. Use tubular markers in place of portable barriers. D-704-35, Left Lane Closed: For use on lanes adjacent to the work area when earth work is being performed in the median. Lane closure and shoulder closure traffic control device quantities are limited to one day's production. For estimating purposes, the traffic control device list is based on 0.5-mile closure in each direction, for a total of 1 mile. Place vertical panels on the roadway centerline adjacent to full depth repair areas. Place panels every 10 feet and use a minimum of two panels at each full depth repair area. Place Type I barricades in front of each full depth removal area. Position barricades so that they do not encroach into the traffic lane. The traffic control device list is based on the maximum work zone and the following list: Copy the list from either note 704-500 or 704-510, dependent upon which type of roadway the project is located on. Quantities of Type I barricades and vertical panels are based on {#} full depth repair locations and 2 vertical panels per location.
