DOTSC Design Section
Internships
Engineering interns work on actual projects for the NDDOT using workstations equipped with up-to-date software used by NDDOT professionals. Through tutoring and mentoring, students learn design practices and procedures used before plan production.
DOTSC students are expected to work between 10 and 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. During the summer, students are expected to work between 30 and 40 hours per week. The center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Students are allowed to work flexible hours to accommodate class schedules. Most interns who work at DOTSC remain until they graduate, working anywhere from 1 to 3.5 years.
DOTSC continuously accepts resumes from interested undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Construction Management.
