High-Res
Delta Daggett

Delta Daggett, and brothers Marvin and David, all grew up in the trucking business. Their father, Vernon, hauled his first load of cattle across state lines in 1930. The company diversified into transporting food products, mostly temperature controlled, to and from Minnesota. The fleet now numbers about 100 trucks. Following graduation from Hamline University at St. Paul, Minn., in 1962, Daggett returned to Frazee to begin his full-time career at Daggett Truck Line.

Daggett and his brothers actively represented the trucking industry to congressmen, legislators, educators and the general public. He served on the Board of Directors of the North Dakota Motor Carriers for over 30 years and was president for a two year term. He received the Pioneer Carrier Award in 2005 for his work in the Association and Industry. He also served on the board of directors for the Truckload Carriers Association for 10 years, a national association working closely with the American Trucking Association. August 16, 1997, was designated as "Daggett Truck Line Day" in the state of Minnesota in recognition of the company's leadership coordinating the transport of hundreds of thousands of sandbags during the 1997 Red River Valley Flood.
