Barstow is a senior in civil engineering from Anoka, MN. She is active in the Society of Women Engineers, serving as vice president of membership, secretary and membership drive chair. She has also been involved in the Tech GYRLS program, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Concrete Canoe competition, the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Phi Eta Sigma National Honors Society. Barstow has also been named to the Dean's List twice.
Since her sophomore year, she has been working with the UGPTI's Department of Transportation Support Center. Based on that experience, she plans to pursue a career with the Department of Transportation or a consulting firm. Barstow is the daughter of Ronald and Diane Barstow.
