Staff Bio
With his background in state and local transportation Brad has gained experience in planning, urban and rural design, construction, maintenance, transportation data analysis and geographic information systems.
As director of the Advanced Traffic Analysis Center, he oversees a staff of transportation engineers and students who use the center's technology to model and analyze traffic, perform traffic studies and develop ITS.
As director of the Department of Transportation Support Center, Wentz provides engineering and technical analysis for the North Dakota Department of Transportation engineers and managers. He will also provide oversight for the center's team of engineering and information technology students who work on real-world projects under the direction of the NDDOT.
Before joining UGPTI, he was the county engineer for Becker County, MN, for 12 years where he was in charge of transportation planning, design, construction, and maintenance of nearly 700 miles of County Roads. He also worked for 11 years with the North Dakota Department of Transportation gaining experience in construction, urban planning, transportation data and GIS. He has been an active member of the Minnesota County Engineers Association.
