Ryan joined UGPTI as a Research Specialist to help with a grain flow and demand analysis study for the Upper Mississippi Waterway, a local roads safety study, and an autonomous truck study focused on the impacts and benefits of autonomous trucking in rural and tribal regions. He is in the Transportation and Logistics Ph.D. program at NDSU and his focus area is autonomous trucking. He worked for Yellow Corporation, formerly YRC Freight, in Overland Park, KS in the operations department. While at Yellow, he worked on building models and reports to improve the flow of freight through the network. Ryan recently moved to Fargo and was married this past summer to his wife, Liz.
