Eye Movements Provide Clues to Improving Construction Site Safety
Posted: Nov 8, 2022
Injuries, deaths, and lost time in the construction industry all occur at alarmingly high rates. More than 6,000 deaths occur on construction jobsites around the world annually. To reduce those deaths and injuries, researchers at the University of Wyoming are tracking eye movements to learn what captures the attention of workers on construction sites and how rapidly they perceive hazards. The research is the first step toward a new way of improving construction jobsite safety.
