Kim Delivers Keynote at 11th IACIP Workshop

Jimmy Kim, professor of civil engineering at the University of Colorado Denver, delivered a keynote speech during the 11th International Association of Chinese Infrastructure Professionals (IACIP) Workshop, virtually held on January 10 and 17, 2021. The presentation was titled 'Infrastructure Rehabilitation with Advanced Composites'. The Association is a U.S.-registered nonprofit professional organization with its members working or studying in the fields of civil infrastructure and systems and related areas.

Kim's research interests encompass advanced composite materials for rehabilitation, structural informatics, complex systems, and science-based structural engineering, including statistical, interfacial, and quantum physics. He chairs a national technical committee and participates in developing several design specifications and guidelines to translate research into practice. Kim, president of the Bridge Engineering Institute, is an elected fellow of the American Concrete Institute and an elected council member of the International Institute for FRP in Construction. Kim also serves as an associate editor/editorial board member of international journals. His current MPC research projects are:
