Engineering Journal and Industry Take Note of MPC Research on Protecting Bridges
Posted: Apr 13, 2020
Results from an MPC research project designed to protect curved bridges from earthquakes were recently published in an engineering journal, shared at a meeting of civil engineers and published by an industry institute.
The project, "Self-Centering Buckling Restrained Braces for Curved Bridges" began in 2015 at the University of Utah with Dr. Chris Pantelides as principal investigator. A project description, research report, and webinar are available on the MPC web page.
