UGPTI Offers Spring Seminar Series

The Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at NDSU is offering a series of transportation-related seminars during the spring semester.

The seminars provide updates on transportation research and issues at the local, regional and national levels. The seminars are open to the public and are scheduled for Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. in Room 422 of the IACC Building. Dates, presenters and topics follow.

  • On Feb. 6, Gary Hegland, outreach and training coordinator with UGPTI's Small Urban & Rural Transit Center will discuss risk management options and issues in transit.
  • On Feb. 20, Del Peterson, associate research fellow with the Small Urban & Rural Transit Center will discuss use of biodiesel in Fargo Metropolitan Area Transit buses.
  • On March 12, Dave Ripplinger, associate research fellow with the Small Urban & Rural Transit Center will talk about organizing transit in small urban and rural areas.
