MPC Transportation and Logistics Student Elected President of Graduate Student Council

Md. Daulat Hossain, a Ph.D. student in transportation and logistics, was recently elected President of the NDSU Graduate Student Council. Among other duties, the president presides at all meetings, approves appointments to committees, approves the council's budget and serves as a liaison between the council, NDSU Student Government and university officials. The Graduate Student Council works to improve and maintain a standard of excellence in the graduate student experience at NDSU.
Houssain is a graduate research assistant with the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute and previously served as chair of the Graduate Student Council's Professional Development committee. That committee develops programs that enhance learning and networking for NDSU graduate students. Houssain also earned an M.S. in agribusiness and applied economics from NDSU.
