MPC Researcher Named Outstanding Reviewer by 3 Journals

Xianfeng (Terry) Yang, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Utah has been named outstanding reviewer by three transportation journals. Outstanding reviewers offer expertise and professional service to support journals as they work to maintain the high quality of accepted papers.
The journals are:
- Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice
- Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies
- American Society of Civil Engineering Journal of Transportation
Yang has been on the faculty at the University of Utah for a year. His research interests include traffic control with connected automated vehicles, traffic signal control and optimization, freeway traffic operations, traffic safety, transportation planning, evacuation planning and operations, big data and machine learning applications in transportation, transportation simulation, transportation network flow modeling, transportation operations and driver behavior.
